THE BOOK

A place where man reigns supreme and where the title of warrior outranks any other office held, this was the home of Aiden. Born with the sign of the chosen warriors, her existence had been nothing more than days spent on the proving ground, the only girl to ever receive such a position. Fighting a hard fight to be as good as the boys and never having the ability to see her own rare beauty made for a strong soldier. At last the time was upon her, the time she had trained her whole life for, the time for battle. The star blood was her own, but was it enough; would she have what it takes to contend with the dark shadows on the Fallow Grounds?

Aiden’s misgivings about herself are not without pride, and though she reluctantly allows the company of two rivaling cohorts, she is forthright in notifying them of her self-sufficiency. The fact that Ash has slain a dragon to save his men and has been knighted for his brave endeavors, hardly gives him the right to belittle Aiden’s abilities; and though Thorn may be a prince who is just as handsome as he is valiant and true, he should still never let it enter his mind that she would allow feelings to sway her while duty is pressing. Aiden will have to find the truth about herself before she can ever fulfill the prophecies, and as her truths begin to unfold, the three companions will each learn that being the hero sometimes requires more than you are willing to give

STAR SEED

This had been the first chance he had received to get a good look at her, since she had been hiding amongst the foliage and shadows of the tree boughs. The first thing he noticed was the abnormal pale color of her hair and the way it contrasted beautifully with the golden tones of her complexion. All of this was accented by the most bazaar attire, especially for a female, he had ever seen.

There was a long silence as he tried to take in her unusul appearance, and she turned her eyes, wich had been fixed on the ground in awaiting his sentencing, to meet his. He noticed that her eyes were very similar in color to her hair, only with a slight splash of minty green.

"What is your name, Great Lady?" he finally managed to ask.

"My name is Aiden, may it please Your Highness, and it would seem that I have shown myself as no lady, but as a trespasser and a criminal. Please, be quick in what you must do."
